It is Saturday and the casualty figures just keep going up. It is so sad to think that behind every digit is a family going through a personal tragedy.
If you spend too much time thinking about it, it can get to you.
It is easy to say (and a lot harder to do) but we have to stay optimistic that continued social isolation measures will eventually deliver the results the experts tell us they will.
I have felt a change in peoples’ outlook. Watching folk out in public they are walking that little bit quicker. Their heads are down towards the ground and the previous ‘Dunkirk Spirit’ conversations seem as though they have come to an end. I am hoping that my snapshot view of the outside world was not reflective of the true situation. I’m struggling to stay positive as I’m sure others are as well, but if we all pull together I’m sure we can get through it.
Let’s not look too far ahead to next Saturday but just take each day as it comes.
